Welcome to the 14 Signal Regiment (EW) Association website. The Association was formed in August 2005

The aims of the Association are:
To renew contacts and stay in touch with old friends
To establish strong links between old comrades and serving members of the Regiment
To build a network of bright lively people to enable them to support each other
To have a good party each year
To provide a career transition service to those contemplating retirement from the Regiment.

Details of events are published on the website as and when dates and locations are confirmed. See CONTACT – EVENTS below.

We have some 160 members from Royal Signals, INT Corps and REME and we welcome new members be they serving or retired. Our intention is to provide a focus in the website for events and Regimental functions that may be of interest to members as well as updates and photographs. We would also welcome ideas for any input that members would like to see on this website.

The Committee is currently:
President:      Maj Gen (Retd) John Stokoe
Members:      Lt Col Mark Purves
                        Henrik Kiertzner
                        Stephen Turpin
Ex officio Member:  David Street
Secretary   Rollo Rumford

The Committee aims to meet once or twice a year and the Minutes of the 27th Sep 2012 Meeting are shown below. One of the aims of the Association is to compile a Regimental history covering the social, sporting and unclassified activities since its formation in 1977.  Those who have any input for this, such as photographs, stories and or anecdotes to bring “colour” to the history should contact Stephen Turpin via the Secretary.

Whilst the MOD's Career Transition Partnership offers a service enabling servicemen and women to prepare for a civilian career, there is nothing to match advice and guidance from those with the experience of making a successful transition. Two such former members of the Regiment are Scott Harvey and John Stokoe.

John retired from the Army in 1999 and since then has been MD of divisions in 3 global corporate businesses and is currently a Non Executive Director of 2 companies, of one of which he is the chairman. In addition, he chairs the Regular Forces Employment Association and is a careers' adviser for the Officers' Association.

Scott retired from the Civil Service in 2006 (one of his last posts having responsibility for recruiting).  He then set up as in independent career advisor and executive coach with a number of managers and directors, a career he continues. He is a Non-executive director with a number of organisations (including a University) and recently became HR Director for an international company.  His skills include NLP and psychometric testing including both ability and personality tests.  Scott was associated with the regiment during its time in Celle.

Between them, Scott and John can help you with careers advice, matching military skills to civilian needs, networking, CV writing and introductions to relevant individuals in the commercial world.
